Performer information
Firstly, thank you so much for offering to share your work, we are very excited to see it! The space is fun and intimate, and we really hope you enjoy the night.
Here are some useful bits for you to know and a few questions to help us support you in your performance.
Logistics
The event is at Sevente on Hackney Road andruns as two acts with an interval in the middle. We try to stick to the following schedule:- 7:30 - Doors open
- 8:00 - Stories begin
- 9:15 - Intermission
- 9:45 - Stories continue
- 11:00 - That’s a wrap!
If you are performing, you don’t need to get a ticket but please make sure that anyone else coming to watch you does get one.
Technical Requirements
The venue has a projector and PA speakers with microphone, bluetooth, and aux input (https://www.amazon.co.uk/PYLE-Bluetooth-Loudspeakers-Microphone-PPHP849KT/dp/B01LX4M421?th=1). For any additional tech requirements (e.g. guitar amp), you must provide them yourself. If you are unable to, please let us know as we may already have a performer bringing that equipment and they may allow you to use theirs. performance
Please feel free to start off by talking a bit about yourself and plugging any current work/projects etc. Most people who come are fellow creatives, so it’s a great chance to get your work out there and hopefully find future collaborators or people who might be interested in your work, so don’t be shy!We try to link everything to the theme so it can be nice to also start by talking a little about how it connects and what that means to you (you are also very welcome to also just jump straight in).
In order to allow time for all performers, we try to limit performances to around 10-15 minutes max. If your performance will last longer than that (e.g. you are showing a short film that is longer than 15 mins), please make sure it has been discussed with us prior to the meeting.
